William Fodd Prophet.

Simon's grandfather. Simon's father's father.

 

 

William was born at 132 East High Street, Forfar, Scotland.

 

William as a child circa 1880.

 

The Dundee High School where William was educated.

 

In 1906 William was registered as a passenger on board the Suevic traveling from Liverpool to Cape Town.

 

In 1919 he was listed as traveling on the Balmoral Castle and again on the Suevic in 1926.

William never took a holiday and he worked six days every week preparing medicines for patients up until a fortnight before he died. With him in the photo is his son, Simon's father, also a chemist.
